2 - Hands on
Organized by SOBRAPE's Innovation Committee, in partnership with the Graduate Program in Dentistry (Periodontics) of the Ribeirão Preto School of Dentistry (FORP) of the University of São Paulo (USP)..
The event will be held in person at the Faculty of Dentistry of Ribeirão Preto - FORP, University of São Paulo - USP, Avenida do Café, s/n - Ribeirão Preto - SP in the Campus Theater
In the face-to-face mode, five (5) lectures will be given, straight to the point, on topics of great clinical relevance, as well as a hands-on session on the application of mucosal substitutes in porcine mandibles and live surgery, with the possibility of interacting with renowned professors, involving the use of immediate implants in aesthetic areas, biomaterials and soft tissue manipulation. To take part in the live surgery, you will be able to register online.
The event is scheduled in three stages, in person and online:
- Conferences: from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (in person only);
- Hands on: from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (in person only - limited places);
- Live surgery: from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (in person and online).
You can register at the bottom of this page.
See below for details of each one.
Program:
- - 13:30 to 15:30:
- Mucosal substitutes in periodontics and implantology. Prof. Dr. Michel Messora
Theory | Clinical and Biological Principles*
*For face-to-face and face-to-face + hands 0n registrations
- History
- Mucosal substitutes in periodontics and implantology
- Indications and limitations
- Scientific evidence
Time: 30 min
Practice | Swine jaw exercises with Geistlich Fibrogide **
** For those enrolled in the face-to-face + hands-on mode
- Technique for root coverage;
- Technique for soft tissue volume augmentation in edentulous areas;
Time: 01:30 hrs
Tech-Suture sutures, Geistlich biomaterial (Fibro-Gide), HuFriedy instruments, Zeiss magnifying glasses, a Salli owl and porcine mandibles will be available for each participant.
This activity aims to provide each participant with knowledge of mucosal substitute techniques capable of promoting predictable results with a strong scientific basis.
3 - Live surgery
16:00 to 18:00 - Immediate implantation in aesthetic areas with maximum predictability: guided surgery, biomaterials and soft tissue manipulation
Prof. Dr. Michel Messora and Prof. Ms. Ricardo Denardi
A live clinical case will be carried out involving extraction of a dental element in an aesthetic area and immediate implantation (using guided surgery) + immediate provisionalization (using digital planning). All the concepts involving preservation of hard and soft tissues and optimal three-dimensional positioning of the implant will be worked on.
Professors Cláudio Lopes, Alexandra Dias and Sérgio Kahn will be moderating the activity. You will be able to participate and interact with the moderators throughout the surgical procedure.
The activity will allow participants to answer the following clinical questions:
- How to plan immediate implants in aesthetic areas?
- How can digital planning help with the installation of immediate implants? How to treat the gap between the implant and the buccal bone plate?
- When and how to change the peri-implant phenotype during the installation of immediate implants?
